Personality:

Before anything else can be said about Laura, the fact that she is an assassin has to be mentioned. She is a killer, she sees killing as a means to an end and a solution to problems, and has no moral obligation against it. Does she know it's horrible? Yes. But that doesn't in any way change her attitude towards doing so. While she has not killed anyone 'good' in several years, the murder of a criminal, or especially anyone in a situation similar to the people who created her, is not something she will ever feel bad about. She is a killer.

Beyond that, Laura's personality can really be divided into two 'subsections.' Not separate personalities, just two very different ways of thinking, nearly separate from each other. There's 'Mission Laura' and 'Social Laura.'

When on a mission, when given an order, Laura is almost impossible to distract from her task. She will do whatever it takes to finish her instructions, be it slaughtering a compound full of soldiers, or hurling herself into a vat of molten lava to destroy the legacy virus. She's extremely rational in these situations, and can relay detailed answers about the situations she is in and her emotional and physical states during them with a remarkable detachment. As a child she would do these missions unquestioningly, but she has gotten better recently about questioning an order that she does not think makes sense. And she will argue with one that she feels is foolish. Or flat out tell someone they're being a fool, if they make a decision she thinks will be detrimental to the mission. If she thinks a decision is the right one though, she'll gladly sacrifice herself to finish it. Frequently people have had to save her from herself because she doesn't see her survival as a priority. (As Sue Storm put it, "sometimes I think you forget how young you are" when Laura kept talking about having to protect Sue's 'children' as if she herself was so much older and less valuable.)

Social Laura, on the other hand, spends a lot of her time puzzled. She doesn't really understand people, their motivations, their needs, any more than she understands her own emotions or needs, so she spends a lot of time watching them and studying them and being confused by them. She has a habit of getting attached to people, something she doesn't even seem to realize is happening, made very obvious by her connections to Wolverine, Hellion and Mercury. She's extremely loyal to the people she cares about, even if she doesn't really understand why, and will go to any lengths to make sure they are not harmed.

She's also a bit lost in situations she can't control. When she has an enemy to fight, a mission to fulfill, she knows every action she needs to take, but when say, Julian got his hands cut off fighting the Nimrod Sentinals, Laura just sat by his bed, completely lost. The more she can push her emotions away, the better she feels she functions, and the more those emotions overwhelm her, the more uncertain and indecisive she becomes.

When she's stressed out by something, something she doesn't understand or can't control, she cuts X's into the underside of her left forearm with the claws of her right hand. She cuts these often enough that they are there despite constant rehealing. It's a coping mechanism, though not a very healthy one, that she doesn't even realize she is doing half the time. It just makes it easier for her to...deal. She has been doing this since a very young age, since cutting herself was the only thing she had any control over during her time in the Facility.

Recently she has been mostly on her own (traveling with Gambit and occasionally Jubilee and Logan) and gradually learning how to people a bit more, but it's still a mess. As an example, she realized she doesn't care about Julian the way she thought she did, and she understands that, but she doesn't understand why. It's the 'why' that is causing her the most problems.

TL:DR - Laura only recently became a 'real girl' with her own agency and choices, and she has no idea how to be that. But she's trying.

Abilities/Powers/Weaknesses & Warping:

Powers:

Healing Factor - Laura primary mutation is a ridiculously powerful natural regenerative ability (thanks wolverine) which allows her to heal back from basically any injury. She's survived getting shot in the head, getting blown up, regrowing her limbs, absorbed the disease from every person on an island of ten thousand, and even getting powered up and exploded by Gambit. Like her 'father', she is functionally immortal by way of painfully healing herself.

Warping: Laura will have the baseline warp of injuring those nearby/drawing life from the plants and animals around her to self heal, but her healing will also be slowed down for more significant injuries. So light injuries (scratching herself with her claws) will heal almost as fast as normal, but a broken bone would take minutes instead of seconds, getting stabbed or shot would be hours instead of minutes, regrowing a limb would be weeks instead of days. She will be able to consciously accelerate back up to closer to her 'baseline' healing, but doing so will increase the amount of damage she does to the people/life around her.

I would like to keep minor injuries healing quickly and passively because her claws cut her every time they come out, and she has a...minor self-harming problem that is somewhat dependent on her healing ability. Also without a constant low level healing factor, the adamantium poisoning from the metal on her claws will kill her in less than two days.

Adamantium Claws: Laura has a pair of adamantium claws that come out of her skin from between her knuckles on each of her hands, and a single claw on each foot. These were bone naturally, but were removed and coated with metal when she was a child.

Enhanced senses: Laura has inherited Wolverine's senses as well, giving her superhuman senses of smell and hearing. She can hear someone's heartbeat clearly enough to tell if they are lying, to count the number of people in a room through a wall, and can track a small (almost) as well as Logan himself. The range of her healing is significantly expanded compared to a normal human, and she can pick up barely-whispered words like they were spoken normally.

Weaknesses:

Trigger Scent: Laura was conditioned by her creators to go into a berserker rage when she smells a specific trigger scent. She'll kill whatever she smells it on, and then if not contained, will murder indiscriminately until the trigger wears off. She has no recollection of what she has done when she is under these rages. Her eyes turn red when she is exposed to the scent, and revert back to green when she is clear of it.

Abilities:

Assassin: Laura was trained essentially from birth in infiltration, combat and murder. She knows half a dozen fighting styles, can speak at least seven languages (She has spoken or understood English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Mandarin Chinese and Japanese on-panel.) She knows way too many ways to kill someone, whether with her claws, with just her hands, or with whatever happens to be nearby.

4 - The motorcycle she borrowed from the X-men.
